Analog Since Always. Future-Ready by Design.
From club classics to modular creativity — Rodec builds the tools that turn sound into performance.
The Art of Analog
At Rodec, we’re bringing a bold, forward-thinking take on analog audio hardware — built on decades of craftsmanship, innovation, and pure love for music.
If you've been in the music world for a while, chances are you know Rodec. Our mixers earned cult status among DJs across the globe, who used them to redefine what two turntables and a mixer could do. With every performance, they pushed boundaries — and inspired us to do the same.
From Radio Roots to Club Legends
The Rodec story begins in 1954, when founder Roger Declercq built custom radios, amplifiers, and speakers from scratch. In 1970, we introduced the first mixer with faders — a true original — setting the stage for a new era in audio control.
As house music exploded, so did the reach of Rodec. Our mixers became club staples from Ibiza to Korea. The launch of the iconic MX-180 in 1990 cemented our place in DJ history. Despite global acclaim, Rodec remained an artisan operation, producing only a few thousand units per year. Even when production paused in 2014, our reputation for quality, durability, and that unmistakable fat bass sound kept the legend alive.
A New Chapter — Same Soul
In 2021, longtime Rodec user and music producer Tom De Ridder stepped in as CEO to bring Rodec back — not just to honor the past, but to reignite our original ambition: to build the ultimate tools for audio performance. In 2022, we returned to the scene with new gear, fresh ideas, and the same no-compromise approach to sound and build quality.
Tom’s vision is rooted in a simple principle: never compromise on quality, always strive for the ultimate sound experience. That mindset drives everything we do today.
The Rodec Vision: Modular, Musical, Limitless
We believe the next generation of audio gear should erase the lines between studio and stage, between musician and DJ, between creativity and control. Our systems are modular by design, analog at heart, and open to endless configurations. They’re built to help artists of all kinds perform, experiment, and evolve — without being locked into one format or workflow.
At Rodec, we’re not just building tools — we’re building instruments for those who treat sound as an art form. And we’re here to keep raising the bar for what analog performance gear can be.
